Bus driver attacked while stopped at intersection

Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that Monday evening, Police Officer Michael Kettman responded to a call of an attack on a school bus driver at the intersection of Ponce de Leon Boulevard and King Street.

Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that Police Corporal Kevin Schmoll is investigating the theft of nearly $900 worth of appliances from a West Augustine business.

Two handguns stolen from city residence

Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that sometime between last Thursday, July 1st and Saturday at noon, a residence on Blanco Street had been entered and two handguns stolen.

The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News this afternoon that they are concluding the thirty day period of adjustments to the chlorine and ammonia levels in the City water system on Thursday, July 8th.

ATM burglars may be wanted in other break-ins

Public Information Officer Debra Johnson reported to Historic City News that three men were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with an attempted burglary of an ATM machine in “The Hammock” area in Flagler County.

Local crimefighter Bob Bissell – dead at 91

Robert Devere Bissell, who lived in the St. Augustine area since 1960 and was active in the community well into his 80’s, passed away this weekend at Flagler Hospital at the age of 91.
