On a tour to promote his art in the United States, the famous plastic artist, Daniel Yordanov, arrived in Saint Augustine, with a unique style applying the mixed technique on the canvas. Yordanov has titled it “El Murmullo de Las Piedras” where with a majesty of the brush he manages to move the great works of the classic and the gothic of the place where for thousands of years they sleep until he manages to take them, highlighted on a canvas, to any part of the world.

The Florida Department of Transportation reported to Historic City News that they will close the Bridge of Lions on Sunday, June 23rd from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. for routine bridge maintenance.
The City of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that the road work begun on Wednesday, June 19, will continue weekdays through Friday, June 28, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Preferred Materials Inc., a city contractor, will be conducting road resurfacing

The City of St. Augustine is giving Historic City News advance time this year to announce details and recommendations for attending our nation’s Independence Day celebration. The annual Fireworks over the Matanzas festivities have traditionally been the single largest public event presented in downtown St Augustine.
