St Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News local reporters Saturday that firefighters from Station 8 performed a rather unique rescue.

Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.

Starting on Monday, April 22nd archaeological digs in the North Davis Shores area will begin as part of an investigation to test a possible location for St. Augustine’s second settlement which dates from 1566 to 1572.

A reminder to Historic City News readers that the St. Augustine Easter Parade has moved from Easter Sunday.  The Easter parade is tomorrow, Saturday 4/20/19 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to last to approximately 11:30 a.m.
