City of St. Augustine Public Affairs contact Cathy DuPont, has asked Historic City News to remind everyone that in order to maintain the consistent quality and professional standards of the Nights of Lights, the City has enacted ordinances relating to the displays.

Veterans Day Closings reported

Karen Pan, Office of Public Affairs for St. Johns County, reported to Historic City News that all offices of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and all St. Johns County Public Libraries will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in observance of Veterans Day.

Today is the final day for early voting in St. Johns County. Friday was another record day reported by Jenny M. O’Dell, Director of Public Information & Voter Education for the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, with 5,693 early voting ballots cast.
