Alison Ratkovic, Clerk of the City of St Augustine, announced to Historic City News and our readers that there are currently three open positions on the city’s advisory boards and committees.
St Augustine and St Johns County residents will be seeing a new traffic signal soon; installation of the traffic control devices and the required ground markings are underway on SR-312 at this time; with an expected completion date of February.
The Flagler College Community Lecture Series will conclude its fall semester offerings on Tuesday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m. with a presentation by Chris Balaschak, Ph.D., entitled “Guerilla/Gorilla – The My Lai Massacre and Modern Art.”
Operations Division Commander, Barry E. Fox, announced to Historic City News reporters the arrest of a St Augustine man police say is responsible for the convenience store robbery that occurred at the Kangaroo Express during the early morning hours of November 28th.

Historic City News learned that a 65 year-old transient who was released from prison October 17th, then re-arrested in St Augustine November 18th for the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 24 Cathedral Place, has been identified in two other local robberies.
