Museum Store Sunday offers Lightner guests a unique shopping experience

On Sunday, December 1, 2019, for the third consecutive year, the Museum Store at Lightner Museum is thrilled to participate in Museum Store Sunday.  This signature annual initiative is celebrated by more than 1,200 museum stores located in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 15 countries, on four continents worldwide.

Developers sell Fish Island to State of Florida today

Today the State of Florida took possession of the 57-acre property referred to as Fish Island.  The successful acquisition of this conservation land would not have been possible if not for the dedication and hard work of countless individual participants across the state as well as in the local community.

St. Augustine Archaeological Association president, Marsha A Chance, reported to Historic City News that the leaders of Save Fish Island were recently honored for raising awareness about preserving the island.
