Historic City News received word from the City of St. Augustine Beach announcing that they are “Going Green” this year.  Starting January 1, 2020, the City is launching a “Go Green SAB” campaign, which encourages businesses within the city limits of St. Augustine Beach to voluntarily eliminate single-use plastics products.

The House passed legislation Wednesday (HB 7) that would allow public notices to go on city websites instead of printed local newspapers.  For 20-years Historic City News has campaigned in support of such legislation which has served as nothing more than a taxpayer-funded subsidy to the slowly dying printed newspaper industry.

The Florida Bar, the state’s guardian for the integrity of the legal profession, announced to local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court recently ordered disciplined 11 attorneys, disbarring two, reprimanding two, admonishing one, placing one on probation and suspending six.

Rainer Pereira Da Silva, managing partner of Hangar One Restaurant Concepts, LLC., reported to Historic City News the scheduled grand opening of Hangar One Bistro Airport Eatery & Bar, the latest addition at Northeast Florida Regional Airport.
