Historic City News local reporters were informed today that Assistant Chief of Police Anthony W Cuthbert has been selected to attend the 275th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  He will be departing on January 5, 2019, for approximately three months.

Historic City News learned earlier today that a 16-year-old girl fell victim to a 27-year-old Palm Coast man who threatened to kill her and her family if anyone found out about the increasingly violent sexual encounters occurring between them.

St Johns County Deputy Aaron Holland conducted a traffic stop Friday night about 10:00 p.m. after he witnessed a vehicle run through a posted stop sign at the intersection of Gorda Bella Avenue and Cypress Road in the Southeast District.

Historic City News has learned that on Sunday afternoon, St Johns County deputies received a report that a silver 2019 Ram 1500 pickup truck was parked on Poa Boy Farms Road in the area of CR-214 and the driver appeared to be dead.

This holiday weekend got off to a bad start according to crash reports received by Historic City News on Sunday.  The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to two serious crashes on Saturday.  

Deputy Sheriff Jeffery Wilson Carroll died Friday evening, December 14, 2018, in St Augustine. He was born September 5, 1971, and was 47-years-old. Visitation for friends and family has been scheduled for Thursday evening at Craig Funeral Home, December 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Florida Department of Transportation reported to Historic City News that the City of St. Augustine is currently on-site addressing a water main break on San Marco Avenue between Dismukes Street and Missouri Avenue.
