Sheriff Rick Staly reported to Historic City News that around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday evening, Flagler County sheriff’s deputies responded to RaceTrac at SR-100 east and Old Kings Road in Palm Coast after receiving a call about a verbal disturbance involving a man and his ex-girlfriend.

Historic City News reported when authorities found Jacksonville resident Everett Davon Thompson dead behind the wheel of a rented truck around 3:00 p.m. on December 23rd; and now, detectives say they believe 37-year-old Vermount James Anderson Jr. shot and killed Thompson during a meeting on Po Boy Farms Road, off CR-214.

A sexual crime against a 7-year-old child and her mother by a family member was reported to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on February 24, 2019.  The mother reported the she had been the victim of this man’s aggression from the time she was 12-years-old until February of 2019, and estimated being victimized more than 500 times.
