The Florida Department of Environmental Protection reported to Historic City News this week that they have received the following Public Notice of Pollution for a reportable release. All information was submitted by the reporting party.

In accordance with Florida State Statute 775.21, this news release will serve to notify Historic City News readers to the temporary presence of a sexual predator in St Johns County.

The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office reported to Historic City News Wednesday evening that after spending the past two weeks impersonating children using text messaging, e-mail, and Internet social media pages, they managed to get nine men, aged 18-34 years-old, to show up at a prearranged trap-house where each of them was arrested.

Historic City News was informed that on Sunday night, at approximately 8:01 p.m., St Augustine police officers responded to the wooded area behind 32 Louise Street to investigate a complaint of an assault.

Historic City News was informed that on Thursday, April 18th, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office contacted a person of interest in the Gray homicide investigation, Teresa “Alex” Selgado.

Historic City News was updated this morning on the expected severe storm conditions predicted to cross St Johns County later this afternoon.  Cautionary preparations are being taken to protect children, elderly and outdoor animals.

In less than two-days, teams of law enforcement deputies and detectives have arrested a local 17-year-old expelled student, with a criminal past, who Sheriff Rick Staly told Historic City News reporters this evening, could be the first juvenile arrest on his watch that could turn into a death penalty conviction.

The investigation into the death of 18-year-old Curtis Israel Gray early Saturday morning in Flagler County, has led detectives to identify 17-year-old Marion Leo Gavins Jr. of 42 Woodlyn Lane in Palm Coast, as the suspect.
