City Hall closes early today

City of St. Augustine Offices Closed due to effects of Tropical Storm Fay Historic City News has been notified that the offices for the City of St. Augustine will be closed today, Friday August 22, 11:30 a.m . due to the effects of Tropical Storm Fay.

County Offices Closed Thursday

County Administrator Michael D. Wanchick has announced that all Departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed on Thursday, August 21, 2008 due to the anticipation of deteriorating weather conditions from Tropical Storm Fay.

Historic City News has been informed that at least one city meeting has been cancelled so far because of the storm. As Tropical Storm Fay continues to move north, the City of St. Augustine urges residents and business owners to make all necessary preparations for the “just in case” scenario.

Historic City News was reminded today by Penny Halyburton, St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, that any registered St. Johns County voter may vote early by appearing at any of the Early Voting Sites listed below during the two weeks before Election Day.
