Kitchen fire erupts in King and Bear residence
St Johns County Fire Rescue crews are currently on the scene of a residential structure fire in the 4900 block of Boat Landing Drive, in King and Bear, according to an announcement received by Historic City News tonight.



Historic City News has learned that this morning, the Florida Highway Patrol Criminal Interdiction Unit was able to intercept about $120,000 in compressed high grade marijuana in St Johns County; before it completed its intended journey from Miami to Jacksonville.
As of today, a warning to Historic City News readers that “texting and driving” is no longer legal in Florida; according to an alert from Julie L Jones, Executive Director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Environmental Compliance Manager Tony Cubbedge informed local Historic City News reporters that the St Johns County Utility Department has issued a precautionary “Boil Water Notice” in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The office of A Lee Bentley III, acting United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, reported to Historic City News that this afternoon federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies will announce the unsealing of a federal indictment related to the attempted murder of a federal judge.
This morning, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Historic City News was informed that St Johns County Fire Rescue crews responded to an automobile crash on SR-206 where one occupant was trapped inside the vehicle.
Historic City News has learned that St Johns County Fire Rescue responded earlier today, to a recreational vehicle fire in the 4500 block of Avenue “B”; just north of the Neil J Perry Criminal Justice Complex in St Augustine.
Florida East Coast Railway Police spokesman Bob Ledoux reported to Historic City News this evening that they are investigating the death of a man, struck by a freight train as he laid on the railroad tracks near Perpall Street in the City of St Augustine.
