Man who molested preteen girl goes to prison for life

Public Affairs Director Klare Ly, informed Historic City News today that a St Johns County man, convicted of forcing himself on an eleven-year-old girl between September 2011 and February 2012, and then threatening to kill her and her mother if the girl ever told anyone, will die in prison for his crimes.

Operating out of “an abundance of caution”, Sheriff’s Commander Charles E. Mulligan reported to Historic City News that deputies, on foot and on all-terrain vehicles, combed the woods along I-95 between SR-207 and SR-16, northbound, in response to a call that a woman might be in danger.

US Customs and Border Protection informed Historic City News local reporters that brick-shaped packages of cocaine washed onshore in the Crescent Beach area this week. Their street value has been estimated at $2.97 million.
