Twelfth anniversary of the AMBER Alert
Historic City News reporters received a reminder from Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey that this year marks the 12th anniversary of the inception of Florida’s AMBER Alert Plan; which gets the word out statewide when a child is abducted.

Historic City News was informed today that District Court Judge Roy B Dalton sentenced “John Doe” a/k/a “Leroy” a/k/a “LTH” to 120 months in federal prison following his conviction on seven counts of aggravated identity theft, six counts of falsely representing a social security number, and one count of passport fraud.
This morning at about 6:00 a.m., Historic City News was notified of a hit-and-run crash at the entrance of Pedro Menendez High School that sent one driver to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in critical condition.
