Surrender the booty – pirates pillage town

Yesterday, Francis Field was awash with re-enactors, living historians and casual pirates from across the seven seas — joining local Historic City News reporters, the crews of the Black Heart and Ancient City Privateers celebrating the Golden Age of Piracy.

Reward increased $5000 in Ware disappearance

Over the past 72 hours, detectives investigating the disappearance of 34 year-old Rebecca Ann Ware who was last seen in St. Johns County on October 29, 2010, have reported to Historic City News that they have developed new information and gathered additional evidence in the case.

Historic City News has learned that two separate armed robberies are under investigation at this hour by detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office — who tell local reporters that the incidents are likely connected.

Alligator mascot to make rounds at RB Hunt

On Wednesday, November 17th, Historic City News has learned that the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park will bring its alligator mascot to R.B. Hunt Elementary School to meet children and celebrate a new business partnership with the school.

Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that emergency personnel responded to a brush fire in the 1900 block of Collins Avenue this afternoon.
