Communications Specialist Sarah Butler and Director of Communications Michael Ryan, announced to local Historic City News reporters that today, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special meeting.

Pursuant to the Charter of the City of St. Augustine and Resolution 2019-21, a meeting of the City of St. Augustine City Commission will be held on MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

Historic City News subscribers are hereby informed that there will be a Special Meeting of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in the County Auditorium located in the County Administration Building.

The St. Johns County Communications Division reported openings for volunteers interested in serving their community and participating in local government.  Historic City News readers and subscribers are among some of the best-informed citizens in the area, able to offer a variety of skills to local boards and committees.

St. Johns County beaches are now open from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon seven days a week for uses that include physical activity and motion.

Historic City News subscribers should be on the lookout as US Government relief payments began arriving in Americans’ bank accounts this week.  Depending on how your Federal Income Tax refund was paid in 2018 or 2019, you may be receiving your relief payment by paper check, so watch your mailbox.
