FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.


Over two-dozen reports of burglarized vehicles came in to Sheriff’s dispatchers early this morning; keeping deputies and St Augustine Beach police busy interviewing victims and witnesses, collecting evidence, and searching for those responsible for Thursday’s crime spree.
For the third time in the past thirty days, and twice in the past ten days, a Flagler County bicyclist has been struck by a motorist; this time, the victim was a 75-year-old Palm Coast man, according to information received by Historic City News from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Texting-while-driving ban clears Senate
Historic City News has learned that St Johns County Circuit Judge Michael Traynor has allowed Randal Bryen Hart to withdraw his previous guilty plea to charges that he cut his dog’s throat and left him to die in a pasture near his home.
Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that 75-year-old Romildo “Ray” Gottuso, who lived at 68 Dolphin Boulevard in Ponte Vedra Beach, died at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center from injuries sustained in a single-car collision on Friday, March 29th.
