As participants in the “Sea-to-Sea” Expedition Race, the promoter tells Historic City News reporters that the intense three-day adventure-racing event involves sufficient risk to require execution of an injury waiver before the athletes can compete.

The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to temporarily close the I-95 at SR-206 entrance and exit ramps overnight Sunday, January 31 and Monday, February 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., weather and schedule permitting. A 54-year-old Jacksonville man, Joseph Vincent DiMaggio, remains in jail tonight, held without bond, after his arrest by St Augustine Police Saturday afternoon.  DiMaggio, whose address was reported as 2950 Napa Valley Ct in Jacksonville, was booked at 7:42 p.m.
