Lightner hosts a Community Open House for Handstitched Worlds exhibition
Angela de Gregory, Engagement Manager for the Lightner Museum, informed Historic City News that a new exhibition, Handstitched Worlds: The Cartography of Quilts, will be on view from October 7, 2022, through January 20, 2023. The rare pieces on display invite viewers to read quilts as maps — tracing the paths of individual stories and experiences that illuminate larger historic events and cultural trends.

Dr Predrag C Bulic dies following a reported stroke
St Johns County Administrator Hunter Conrad reported to Historic City News Tuesday that Dr. Predrag C Bulic, the controversial Medical Examiner disciplined by the state board of medical examiners for his actions in handling the Michelle O’Connell homicide investigation, passed away over the weekend. In published reports, Bulic died from complications following a stroke.

Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band postponed
On Saturday, June 10, 2022, Historic City News was informed that musicians and entertainers Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather who perform with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band have each tested positive for the coronavirus, COVID-19, forcing the St Augustine Amphitheater to postpone the group’s June 24th appearance. The show is being rescheduled for September 2022.
