FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.


Historic City News was on hand at the St Johns County Supervisor of Elections office in St Augustine at noon today when qualifying week officially ended for county, municipal and local district candidates running for office in 2012.
This morning’s 3:00 am single-vehicle crash on SR-206 left a Hastings teenager, Shawn Allen Hagene, dead at the scene; as traffic homicide investigators work to determine what caused the fatal collision.

Historic City News learned that twenty-eight federal, military, state and local law enforcement agents from Florida and Georgia are wrapping up a weeklong Post-blast Investigator School that includes specialized training in processing “small-bomb” crime scenes.

When the wife of a local attorney and real estate broker, Jonathan Bamberg, returned to their St Augustine Beach home at about 1:00 a.m. this morning, she says she tried to go downstairs to sleep on the couch when her husband attacked her and locked her in the bedroom; according to an arrest report received by Historic City News.
