Hankerson has Elections Commission fine reduced
Historic City News learned that Derek Hankerson will pay a reduced fine to the Florida Elections Commission; charges arising from the late filing of his campaign treasurer’s report when he ran against incumbent John Thrasher in the 2014 Republican Primary Election.

Free shuttle to St Johns County beaches through Monday
With the demand for off-beach parking expected to exceed capacity during the holiday weekend, St. Johns County is offering a free shuttle service to Mickler’s Beachfront Park and St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 23-25.
