Historic commemoration of Founding Day in St Augustine
On Saturday, September 10, 2016, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending approximately at noon, Historic City News readers are invited to attend the re-enactment of the landing of Don Pedro Menéndez de Avilés’ presented by the volunteers of Florida Living History, Inc.



St. Johns County has continued to be one of the fastest growing school districts in the state, according to a report received by Historic City News today — the first day of the new school year.










Historic City News reporters watched as a stream of nearly twenty citizens addressed the St Augustine City Commission and a packed Alcazar meeting room waited to hear the outcome of city manager John Regan’s plans to close two northbound entrances into the Nelmar Terrace neighborhood from SR-A1A; also known as May Street.
