FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.


An 83-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man is in custody today in lieu of $21,000 bail after Historic City News reporters learned that he struck and seriously injured a bicyclist in the 300 block of Ponte Vedra Boulevard last night.
NPS Ranger Joe Brehm reported to Historic City News that Labor Day, Monday September 3, would be the last day that Castillo de San Marcos National Monument will be open extended hours, as the fort’s fall operating schedule returns.
Today, Historic City News reporters received a copy of the response that was sent to the National Park Service on behalf of St Johns County; requesting that the General Management Plan for the Fort Matanzas National Monument include a provision allowing vehicular access to the beach in “an environmentally responsible manner”.
