After spending the night in jail and in his second brush with the law in about a month, former St. Augustine City Police officer John T. Olsen was released from custody this morning after posting an appearance bond of $200.00.

St. Johns County spokesperson Karen Pan reported to local news reporters that Solid Waste Management is holding a “Community Collection Day” for household hazardous waste in northeast St. Johns County.
Melissa Dezendorf, City of St. Augustine Archaeology Research and Collections Assistant, told Historic City News that a silver doublet button was recovered during a recent investigation in the Plaza de la Constitucion.
A Sheriff’s Office spokesman contacted the local St. Johns County news desk to report that the entire County Courthouse was evacuated this afternoon following a bomb threat received by the switchboard at about 12:30 p.m.
Archaeological Collections and Research Assistant Melissa Dezendorf says “Hi” to her grandmother from an active dig in the Plaza de la Constitucion in the middle of downtown St. Augustine.
