The Incident Management Team for Hurricane Irma updated Historic City News local reporters this weekend as they concluded their first week of operation to assess and restore access to the national parks throughout South Florida, the Caribbean, and along the Atlantic coast.
Those Historic City News readers who reside in the City of St Augustine and obtaining building permits for hurricane-related repairs to their property will be glad to learn that the City no longer designates buildings as “substantially damaged” using a five-year cumulative 50% rule.
FEMA announced to local Historic City News reporters that an Individual Assistance Declaration for St Johns County has been issued in response to damage related to Hurricane Irma, making these FEMA Programs available to those who are eligible.
