Accused child molester released on $200,000 bond
Thursday afternoon, Historic City News learned that a 38-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man was arrested on a felony warrant charging him with committing a sexual crime against a child less than 12-years-old.

Charges are pending against 34-year-old Ebony Nicole Simmons of Gainesville, after she packed 12 occupants into her black 2005 Jeep Liberty and overturned on I-95 this afternoon at about 4:00 p.m.

FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following
St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
St. Johns County Independence Day holiday hours
Sarah Hand reported to Historic City News that all departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County Administrative offices, library branches, and the Pet Center will be closed Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
July 4th Anastasia Boulevard shuttle available 6:00-midnight
A free Park & Ride Shuttle will be available on July 4, from 6:00 p.m. until midnight from parking locations along Anastasia Boulevard to the Bridge of Lions.
Free shuttle to Mickler’s Park and St Augustine Beach Pier
Michael Ryan, Director of Communications for St Johns County, informed local Historic City News reporters that a free “Reach the Beach” shuttle will be offered during selected Summer Holiday Weekends.
