The St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival “shuttle” was NOT managed, operated, staffed or even designed by the Lions Seafood Festival, the St Augustine Lions Foundation or the St. Augustine Lions club.
Bridge of Lions to close overnight through March 7
The City of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that the Bridge of Lions will be closed to vehicular traffic, March 5-6-7 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Seafood Festival shuttle fails out-of-town visitors
The City of St Augustine, who, after spending hundreds-of-thousands of dollars of public money on transportation studies and consultants, professes to have the answers on mobility — selling north city “satellite parking” with complimentary shuttle service as the solution to traffic congestion during special events.

Marchers to protest May Street barricades
Historic City News was notified that Vilano Beach residents and their supporters will participate in a “Walk the Bridge” march on Saturday, March 3, to protest the increased congestion and danger caused by the City’s decision to erect barricades, on North Magnolia and Douglas Avenue, and East San Carlos, causing significant problems on an already dysfunctional May Street.
