Rick Staly was sworn in today as Flagler County’s 18th sheriff before the Honorable Senior Judge Emerson R. Thompson Jr., during a special ceremony at the Sheriff’s Operations Center, while, earlier this week, Sheriff David Shoar was sworn in for his fourth consecutive term as St. Johns County’s Sheriff, before the Honorable Judge Charles Tinlin.

City declares Park and Ride Shuttle a success

The city’s inaugural effort at providing a multi-week, park-and-ride operation drew to a close last Saturday, December 31 after a very busy 13-day schedule. The cost to taxpayers to keep about 3,700 vehicles out of downtown traffic was estimated between $45,000 – $50,000, according to information provided to Historic City News today.
