Grand theft and fraud charges dropped against deputy



Historic City News reporters watched as a stream of nearly twenty citizens addressed the St Augustine City Commission and a packed Alcazar meeting room waited to hear the outcome of city manager John Regan’s plans to close two northbound entrances into the Nelmar Terrace neighborhood from SR-A1A; also known as May Street.

America’s Parks Exhibition at Lightner Museum
Presented by the St. Johns Cultural Council, this exhibition portrays the wondrous beauty of America’s diverse landscapes. It also includes juried works of the Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas from the Find Your Park Plein Air event that was held during National Park Week in April. This exhibition is free and is located in the Lightner Museum’s mezzanine level, overlooking the historic pool area. Please enter through Café Alcazar entrance. Three seats are up for election every two years on the St Augustine City Commission. In presidential election years, like this, it is Seats 1, 2, and 3 (the mayor). In the mid-term years, it is Seats 3 (the mayor), 4, and 5. Commissioners serve four-year terms and the mayor serves a two-year term.
