For more than three decades, Youth Ministry Director Martha Shinn has been drawing upon her faith to serve as a quiet, yet steadfast force in the lives of young adults at Flagler College in St Augustine, according to an announcement received by Historic City News this week.
The City of St Augustine Public Works Department informed local Historic City News reporters that they will begin annual flow and pressure testing of fire hydrants next week.
Weather permitting, those Historic City News readers who reside on Inlet Drive in North Davis Shores are asked to keep their vehicles off the street while overdue road repairs are underway.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
In a twist that surprised some members, observers and guests of the Saint Augustine Tea Party, who attended the May 26, 2015 meeting, St Augustine mayor Nancy Shaver rose above party labels earning a newfound respect for her willingness to keep lines of communication open between local government and our entire 450-year-old community.
