Vandals decapitated statue at European Village

350-EUROPEAN-VILLAGE-VANDALFlagler County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, Deputy Paula Priester, reported to Historic City News that a cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, apprehension and prosecution of those vandals responsible for the beheading of Venus de Milo, just after midnight on Monday, June 9th.

Florida senator calls State Attorney to investigate railroad

State Sen. Thad Altman, R-Rockledge, has added more questions to a controversy about the return of passenger rail service along Florida’s East Coast, and Historic City News has learned that this week he requested Attorney General Pam Bondi look into a lease that he says could keep the proposed Miami-to-Orlando “All Aboard Florida” rail service from stopping in Brevard and Indian River counties.
