Horse advocates to address City Commission

Coordinator Bryan Wilson reported to Historic City News that The Animal Rights Foundation of Florida will participate in a discussion of horse-drawn carriages at tonight’s St. Augustine City Commission meeting.

City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline reported to Historic City News that more than 100 resolutions and letters have been adopted by public and private organizations in support of the proposed east coast Amtrak FDOT passenger rail project.

Historic City News learned Friday that Morris Publishing Group, LLC has agreed to the terms of a proposed restructuring agreement with the holders of over seventy-five percent of its outstanding senior subordinated notes.

County equestrian center opening today

Cindy Norman reported to Historic City News that the St. Johns County Horse Council will hold the official opening of the St Johns County equestrian center today and the public is invited.

Sweet: Forum on Government and Public Policy

Priscilla Proctor, Coordinator of College and Public Relations, reported to Historic City News that Lynn Sweet, Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Sun-Times, will be the next speaker in the Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy.

County Administrator discusses 2010 budget

Tuesday the Board of County Commissioners adopted the final fiscal year 2010 budget of $611 million, a $47 million decrease from 2009 and a $122 million decrease since 2007.
