Letter to the Editor: Mobility consultants selling the dream

This is in response to the mobility report article that appeared in The Record September 4, 2016, reprinted with attribution by Historic City News.


The government of Spain, with the Royal Sanction of King Felipe VI, has awarded John Regan the Order of Isabel la Católica, in recognition of his contributions to cultural exchanges between the US and Spain, and in particular for his work commemorating the 450th anniversary of the founding of St. Augustine, according to a press release received by Historic City News Friday.
Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
On Sunday, September 11, the City of St. Augustine will continue its annual “Ceremony of Remembrance” tradition, a community gathering to remember those who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Assistant director of Management and Budget, Jesse Dunn, is blaming an increase in the county’s budget on capital outlay to pay for deferred maintenance in the General Fund, Fire District Fund, and Transportation Trust Fund.




Three incumbents and three challengers face off in the November 8th General Election for seats on the St Augustine City Commission. In today’s issue of The St Augustine Report, former mayor George Gardner published a brief statement from each of the candidates; two each for Seat 1 and Seat 2, as well as two for mayor (Seat 3).
