Communications Director Jay Humphreys with the St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau updated Historic City News on this weekend’s entertainment events including the grand opening of the Cyprian Center for Expressive Arts.

Florida School of the Arts reported to Historic City News that they will present Diane Samuels’ “Kindertransport” September 24 – 26 at 7:30 p.m. and September 27 at 2:30 p.m. on the FloArts Main Stage Theatre of the St. Johns River Community College Palatka campus. Admission is $5.

As the clock passed the midnight hour, City Chief Operations Officer John Regan updated commissioners on efforts to reduce noise levels from the skateboard area of Hamilton Upchurch Park.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News that they responded to a residential structure fire in the 900 block of Cypress Rd. at approximately 7:15pm Sunday.
