Its not an April Fools joke – city parking meters removed
Historic City News observed Friday, while everyone else was playing April Fools jokes, that city employees were systematically removing all of the city parking meters and signs from the 2 Artillery Lane parking lot between St George Street and Aviles Street.



The St Augustine Police Department has not yet provided the requested copy of the Florida Traffic Crash Report for last week’s fatal crash that killed 16-year-old skateboarder Ja Williams.


In the pre-dawn hours this morning, Historic City News was called to report the return of the long-absent El Galeón Andalusia, the authentic replica of a ship that traveled Florida’s coasts during the time of St. Augustine’s founding.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that the Bridge of Lions will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians on Sunday and Monday nights, April 3-4.

Ja Jules Williams’ mother, Bunny, is traveling to St Augustine tonight to say goodbye to her 16-year-old son. She told Historic City News that she wants local people to know what a wonderful life Jay lived, and what a wonderful son he was.
