Often times we use the term “selling out” to describe people. But, have you ever wondered what it truly means and why it is not used for those who are proud of their “Southern Heritage” — supporting the South or the Confederacy?

The British Night Watch registration numbers are pretty good so far. The event, scheduled for Friday December 4th through Sunday, December 6th 2009, has already pre-registered over 100 participants and over 25% of those are first time attenders.

Last week I wrote an editorial asking that we examine county employee benefits — specifically our current method of a “defined benefit” system for county employees under the Florida Retirement System.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think it is fair that taxpayers have to work into their 70’s so that their civil servants can retire in their 40’s?

The Universe is a friendly place! We know this because otherwise we would not be here! Scientifically speaking to make it possible for life to evolve and be friendly various essential events occurred, these events had to be violent, and they had to be long periods in which life evolved and was sheltered from violence.

In our overworked, stressed out lives being nice helps forge and improve relationships, whether in marriage, family, business or everyday life. But, do nice guys really finish last?

Not long ago, I read a joke. It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people. We send billions and billions of tax dollars to them — and they send us the change.

I am so sick of the Left being allowed to make the rules. Imagine the absurdity of a competition in which one side is allowed to set the rules against their opponent.
