Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director, Jay Humphreys, reminded Historic City News that, with more than four centuries worth of spooky thrills and eerie encounters waiting in the shadows, St. Augustine is the place to be for Halloween thrills and chills.

Historic City News learned that the St. Johns County Public Works Department will close Federal Point Road in Hastings to all traffic beginning October 20, 2008, through approximately February 2009 for the bridge replacement project.

In an an announcement from Cathy DuPont, Department of Public Affairs – City of St. Augustine, Historic City News learned that city officials will dedicate the new Water Treatment Plant in a ribbon cutting set for Wednesday, October 22nd at 10:00 a.m.

St. Augustine is the Nation’s oldest city, but visitors to this historic destination and the luxurious resorts of Ponte Vedra will find plenty that’s “new” to enjoy for fall and winter according to a media update received by Historic City News.
