Proposed National Heritage Area public meeting

Leslie White reported to Historic City News that there will be an informational meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach about the proposed Nation’s Oldest Port National Heritage Area on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 4:00 p.m.

Exemption may allow outside dining with dogs

St. Augustine commissioners may now consider and pass exemptions to the food and drug law that prohibits dogs from eating at restaurants in outdoor dining areas according to a legislative update received by Historic City News.

Northrop Grumman reported to Historic City News today that after successfully completing a Milestone C review, the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye program has received a fixed-price, incentive fee contract award from the U.S. Navy valued at $432 million.

St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar, the rest of the Sheriff’s Office family and Historic City News extends condolences to Detective Charles “Kip” Brantley and his wife Cindy for the loss of their 18-year old son this morning in a single car accident.
