Body of child recovered from nearby pond

Historic City News editor Michael Gold was on the scene around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon as the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a mother reporting that her three year-old boy was missing.

At Monday evening’s City Commission meeting, commissioners will take up a request for an easement from the Florida Department of Transportation that was tabled at its last meeting.

Couple attacked while trying to leave parking lot

Police were called to the scene of a physical fight near the intersection of Tolomato Street and Spanish Street Thursday night at about 11:11 p.m. according to a report received by Historic City News this weekend.

Volunteers trained for crash investigations

Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told local St. Johns County reporters with Historic City News that Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming hopes to help motorists involved in fender benders or any type of minor traffic accident who may have had to wait for lengthy periods of time for a law enforcement officer to respond.

Remains of Hastings home will be demolished

Public Affairs Specialist Karen Pan informed Historic City News local reporters that St. Johns County will be demolishing a burned structure in Hastings on Monday, October 11, following an order from the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals.

Hastings drug dealer flips the script – robs buyers

21 year-old Lavorris Deshawn Session was identified to Historic City News reporters and arrested on October 5th; charged with robbery using a firearm and kidnapping in a drug-deal-gone-bad that occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. on September 25th at a residence in the 400 block of Green End Lane in Hastings.

Bartram Community Collection Day

St. Johns County spokesperson Karen Pan reported to local news reporters that Solid Waste Management is holding a “Community Collection Day” for household hazardous waste at Bartram Trail High School.
