Tonight, Chief Hedges will swear in Daniel DeCoursey as the new Assistant Chief of Police for the town of St. Augustine Beach and local Historic City News reporters will be watching as fireworks may ensue.
A frequent speaker at city and county government meetings, Edward A. Slavin, Jr., will appear before the St. Augustine Beach City Commission at their regular business meeting tonight and try, again, to persuade a local government body to move forward in support of his proposed “St. Augustine National Historical Park, Seashore and Coastal Parkway”.

The St. Johns County Public Library System reported to local Historic City News reporters that beginning Monday, November 14, 2011, the St. Johns County Library System will accept non-perishable food items in lieu of overdue library fines.
