Members of the St Augustine Tea Party announced to Historic City News that Victoria Baer would be making her second appearance; addressing the bi-monthly general meeting of the group on June 26.
At about 11:30 p.m. last night, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Neil P Mariotti informed local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that two occupants of a 2006 Nissan Maxima flipped and crashed on CR-13; sending both to area hospitals.
Historic City News has learned that 50 year-old John Thomas Olsen, passed away at his home on Venetian Boulevard in St Augustine on Friday, June 15th.
Dark clouds and heavy rain set a mood, of sorts, when Historic City News visited the Flagler Beach Fire Department headquarters this afternoon while members of the Flagler Emergency Communications Association staged an emergency training simulation in Palm Coast.
The late Jack Williams, a colonial history and antique weapons expert in St Augustine, “knew what he had” when he contacted archaeologist Dr. Kathleen Deagan of the Florida Museum of Natural History in the 1970’s, according to local author and businessman Daniel D. Holiday.
Retired Sheriff of St Johns County and St Augustine native, Neil Joseph Perry, age 67, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon at his home surrounded by his family. His strength and character was evident during his long and courageous battle with cancer. He will long be remembered as a compassionate and loving husband, father, grandfather and valued friend.
