Volunteers construct Haven Horse Ranch pathway

Students in Free Enterprise members from Flagler College reported to Historic City News that they build a brick pathway, together with volunteers from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and the St Johns Juvenile Correctional Facility, to help handicapped riders at the Haven Horse Ranch in St Augustine.

City should not compete with private businesses

At the next meeting of the St Augustine City Commission, the same spendthrifts that brought you the First America Foundation, that conceived the skateboard park on Anastasia Island and purchased the M & M Market in Lincolnville, will decide if they should evict an attraction operator and demolish the oldest miniature golf course in Florida.

Byway Program Administrator Sallie O’Hara announced to Historic City News that at noon tomorrow and Thursday, volunteer training sessions would be held at the St Johns County Parks and Recreation office in St Augustine in preparation for Friday’s “Kids Ocean Day” at Anastasia State Park.
