Historic City News was notified that District 23 Medical Examiner, Dr. Predag Bulic, has published his preliminary findings in the death of a 30 year-old Fruit Cove woman found inside her residence at about 12:15 a.m. yesterday morning.

Good news for travel and tourism businesses in town, after a Newton, Massachusetts based travel website, TripAdvisor, released a report to Historic City News indicating that St Augustine is one of the top 15 “destinations on the rise” for 2012 — as ranked by TripAdvisor travelers and editors.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating to determine what caused a 1:00 a.m. hotel fire that resulted in the evacuation of dozens of guests and racked up an estimated $35,000 in property damage and contents loss during the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
