Port District to pay full tab to dredge channel
For the first time since the late 1930’s, the St. Augustine Port, Waterway, and Beach District, has approved the payment of District funds to dredge our federally-designated channel, according to Port Commissioner Jay Bliss.



James Dean Fiske announced to Historic City News yesterday that the hopeful plans to resurrect a once popular fiesta, to be known as St. Augustine’s “Days in old Spain”, have been canceled.
Results from the eight sample points monitored by Historic City News in St. Johns County have consistently been in the “good” range; however, the Florida Department of Health plans to quit testing water for bacteria at 45 beaches, statewide, to reduce spending.




St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar is asking Historic City News readers for their help in identifying and locating two criminals involved in a pair of armed robberies of delivery drivers during the evening on Monday.
