Supreme Court disciplines twelve attorneys
In a summary of orders issued by the Florida Supreme Court during November, Karen Kirksey reported to Historic City News that The Florida Bar has disciplined twelve attorneys – disbarring three, revoking the licenses of two, suspending six and publicly reprimanding one. Three attorneys received more than one form of discipline. One was placed on probation and two were ordered to pay restitution to clients.

Beach police make Christmas brighter for furry friends
Last week, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department challenged the community to donate to all the un-adopted pets at the St. Johns County Animal Control Center who will likely be celebrating the holidays alone.
FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
Judge Maltz sentences Sean Alonzo Bush to death
Executive Director Bryan L. Shorstein informed local Historic City News reporters that after previously being convicted at trial of the first-degree murder of Nicole Elise Bush with a firearm as well as armed assault during the burglary of the dwelling, and the prior death sentence recommendation of the jury, the Honorable Judge Howard M. Maltz sentenced Sean Alonzo Bush to death today in St. Augustine.
