Snodgrass abruptly resigns from St Augustine Beach commission
Citing increasing demands on his schedule and his expectation that the trend in management of the St Augustine Beach City Commission’s agenda will continue to grow, Commissioner Gary Snodgrass offered his resignation shortly after 6:00 p.m. at the commencement of the regular city commission meeting last night.

Facing more than $6,500 in permit fees and no sign of a Christmas angel, Linda Abbott of St Augustine is giving up, at least for this year, telling reporters that time simply ran out.

County presents “wish list” to legislative delegation
The county’s legislative priorities, adopted Tuesday October 17, were presented to the Legislative Delegation on Friday, October 20th.
Historic City News readers can review the 87-page St Johns County 2018 Legislative Action Plan on the county’s website. It was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners two weeks ago.

Veterans Day
All departments of the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St Johns County Administrative offices, and the Pet Center will be closed Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day. All St Johns County library branches will be closed Saturday, November 11. All offices and branches will resume standard business hours for Historic City News readers on Monday, November 13.
