Letter: Sidewalks are for pedestrians not bicyclists

Today I was nearly run down twice by people riding pedal bikes on city sidewalks.
Veterans Council of St Johns County secretary Michael Rothfeld reported to Historic City News that the annual parade in St. Augustine honoring our nation’s veterans will begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11th to the peel of church bells, roar of cannon fire, and drone of military planes flying overhead.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following
St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce has awarded several members of St. Johns County’s business elite for their participation in strengthening the local business community, according to an announcement received by Historic City News from president and chief executive officer, Isabelle Rodriguez.
On Thursday, October 19th at approximately 11:52a.m. Officer R. Kelly with the St. Augustine Beach Police Department was dispatched to the Ameris Bank located at 2060 A1A South.
Tuesday November 7, 2017 is Election Day in St. Johns County but ONLY for the voters of the Town of Hastings. This election is open to all registered voters who reside within the incorporated limits of the Town of Hastings.
