Charges adding up for two men arrested Wednesday



The St Johns County Tax Collectors Office informed Historic City News local reporters that in the event of an evacuation of all barrier islands, only those with official re-entry passes will be allowed back after an evacuation.
The National Park Service has invited Historic City News readers to consider volunteer service at one or both of our local National Monuments, Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas. A Volunteer Job Fair originally scheduled for June 6, was rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Colin.
St Johns County sheriff’s deputies have informed local Historic City News reporters that they have cleared the scene at SR-207 and Holmes Boulevard where earlier this evening a female driver eventually crashed after leaving a trail of damage in her wake.

For nearly twenty years, Cheryl Strickland served as our elected Clerk of Court. When she announced she would retire in August 2015, she requested the Governor appoint me to fill the remainder of her term. It was a logical request. I had been training for the position for nearly 19-years as Strickland’s Chief Deputy Clerk. I worked beside her at the Clerk’s office for 32 years. I was involved with every management decision in the office.
