City staff wants to name “car wash” park
Although it is up to the city manager to recommend and the city commission to decide, a city staff committee is seeking suggestions to consider for a name to give the former car wash site located on the southeast corner of Ponce de Leon Boulevard and King Street, now owned by the city and repurposed as a pocket park.



Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.


Three weeks ago, Historic City News crime reporters learned that a Clay County man had solicited a St Johns County teenage girl who he met on a social media website, and arranged, on one or more occasions, to meet her for sex.




An alert has been issued by the City of St Augustine to Historic City News readers on Anastasia Island and Davis Shores that a sewer force main break has occurred on Old Quarry Road (near Alligator Farm) and repair crews will be working in the area until the service is restored.
The contract for the Mobility Project with Littlejohn Engineering, signed for the City by John Regan, a licensed engineer, and assigned to Martha Graham, also an engineer, engages the Nashville based company, through their Orlando branch office, for a commitment to do work over a 1-to-4-month timeframe that is referred to as “Phase 1”.
