The Historic City News family lost a dear friend and supporter last week when Patricia Bornander Reilly passed, leaving a deep hole in both our community and in our hearts.

Historic City News spoke with Gary Peterson who has been executive director of Home Again St Johns for less than a year — a position he accepted knowing the local non-profit has spent over eight years trying to transform hopes and dreams into realities on its mission to provide our homeless population the dignity and care they deserve to get their lives back together.

School grades released to Historic City News today show that the St. Johns County School District has maintained its ranking as one of the top performing districts in the state. St. Johns County had 28 “A” schools, four “B” schools, and two “C” schools.
