City closed Monday – some meetings canceled
City offices closed at 1:00 p.m. today “to facilitate the influx of those attending Celebrate 450! Events”, according to an announcement received by Historic City News this morning. St Augustine City Hall will also be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.

Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

As our editor and publisher take up residence on St George Street for the 450th Commemoration, Historic City News readers will notice one profound presence as the walk the city streets — music. From about 3:00 p.m. this afternoon and continuing into tonight, stages from the Bridge of Lions to the Historic Downtown Parking Facility are alive with musical performers.
